Hello, I followed all the steps listed above except the third because the system does not allow me, I have win 7. Every time I login, the ocx down, and then download the file multiview, but nothing appears on my desktop, does not run and if I upgrade, re-download everything again and will not run. I can not download the multiview, can you help me please?

Don't know what I did, installed windows updates on my new computer, and it started working on its own !!!

I just got a new computer with windows 7 64 bit and keep getting the error getting an error that read "No Windows Permission To Download OCX" and sometimes it will let me try to download the checker, but won't download program

You may want to try uninstalling the software and reinstalling. Also if that does not work please try upgrading to the newest version of software which is 8.4.

What if you get this error and the IR Remote Control is disabled?

We recently had a customer call with the following issue:
I have set up a new server running Windows XP and I am getting an error message saying that the software is incompatible with your location every time that I reboot the system. It happens before the software loads and will not load until you select okay. Do you have any idea what could be the cause of this?

Also adjust the UAC to the lowest level. You can find that by going into the start menu > control panel >user accounts > user account control.

We recently had a customer who was receiving this error message upon start up of the GeoVision Multicam Software: Storage of Multicam Surveillance System Installed path not enough Free Space Above 50MB.

Solution1: Install the Geovision Multicam Software onto a disk with more than 50MB of free space.If this does not help please follow steps of solution 2.

Solution2: Check If the hard drive you are using for the direct path is compressed. To check Start > Computer > right click (C:)> Properties > General > Make sure the Compress this Drive to save disk space is unchecked. After this is done and the GeoVision is still giving the error. Make sure the disk is not compressed and uninstall the GeoVision Software and reinstall.

We recently had a customer that was having a problem with the Zavio Camera Software, He was getting an error "Cant Load Database"

Solution: Turning off UAC on Windows Vista

1.) Go to Vista's [Control Panel]

2.) Click on [User Accounts]

3.) Click on [User Accounts]

4.) Click on [Turn User Account Control on or off]

5.) Click to deselect the [Turn User Account Control on or off] box to turn off UAC

6.) Click on [OK] and restart Windows to complete the new setting

We recently had a customer who was trying to access there Geovision Server remotely, and when attempting to download active x controls he was getting an error that read "No Windows Permission To Download OCX"

Solution: go into the windows start menu >computer >(C) >Program Files >internet explorer >iexplore
This will allow you to run your internet explorer as an administrator and download the active x controls to stream the live video.
