A customer recently contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following questions:

I am about to purchase 3 Speco Intensifier security Cameras to be installed around my house. Do you recommend Speco "Intensifier" cameras, or Standard LED cameras?

Also, I would like to deploy/integrate Geovision iPhone Application GV-iView, what do I need to do the get Geovision app working (buy specific DVR, or any DVR would work)? Would you please elaborate on GeoVision iPhone App requirements?

I appreciate your follow-up.

CCTV Camera Pros supplied the following support response:

Speco cameras are good and yes they do work with Geovision systems as any CCTV camera does. CCTV Camera Pros carries our own line of intensifier cameras that also have infrared LEDs built in which we recommend. You can control the output of the LEDs or even if you want the IRs off using the cameras on screen display. You can see our intensifier cameras with IR LEDs here:

The BIPRO-S600VF12 camera is used on this live ustream video feed. If you click the below link, then on one of the archived videos of a night time recording, you can see how the cameras perform at night. You can also log in anytime at to see the live video feed.

The GV-iView, Geovision surveillance iPhone app will only work with a Geovision DVR or Geovision DVR card

The Geovision software and the iPhone app that Geovision supplies is not compatible with any other third party system.

A customer recently contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following question:

Would you happen to know if the GeoVision GV-800 Video Cards would work in a system running and Intel Atom 330Dual Core 533MHz CPU with 2G Ram?

CCTV Camera Pros support response:

CCTV Camera Pros does not build any Geovision systems with Atom processor so we are not 100% sure, so we will open up a case with Geovision to check to be sure. I know that typically the Intel Atom processors are used in very small laptops and PCs, so I would recommend that you first make sure that the PC you are looking to install the Geovision DVR card in has enough clearance and room for the PCI or PCIe Geovision DVR card.

Please let us know if we can help further. When we hear back from Geovsion support, we will post their response here also.
