<description><p>An installation partner contacted me today and asked if the Geovision 8.4 NVR software that is included with Geovision IP cameras can be installed on a Windows 2003 server.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the answer is no.  Geovision GV-NVR 8.4 is compaible with the following operating systems:</p>
<p><ul><li>32-Bit: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008</li><li>64-Bit: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008</li><br />

<p>This is the process that we follow to upgrade Geovision software:</p>
<p><ol type="1"><li>Uninstall the Geovision software using the uninstall program (this should be located in your Windows start menu in the Geovision section</li><li>Run the new Geovision installation program from your DVD or download file</li><li>Choose install driver first and select remove first to remove the old Geovision drivers</li><li>Choose install driver again to install the new Geovision drivers</li><li>Install the new Geovision main program last</li><br />

<p>I own a PC with geovision 8.3 software installed on it by cctv camera pro. I download geovision 8.3.1 new version. How do I make the upgrade ?<br />
Do I need to uninstall the older version and make a new install or can I overwrite on the old version ?</p>
