An customer interested in a surveillance system consisting of a 4 channel NUUO NVRmini stand alone network video recorder and a few Zavio F312A wireless IP cameras asked us the following question:

Do NUUO surveillance systems support SSL for encrypted login when you access remotely over the Internet from a web browser?

NUUO technical support had the following answer:

The NVRmini can support SSL for login if you are using IE browser because the login interface of web browser on NVRmini is “https”.

If you use NUUO remote live viewer and remote playback application instead of Internet explorer, the NVRmini can’t support SSL for login.

Hello Mike,

To upgrade from 1.0 to 2.1, the procedure must be 1.0->1.2->1.3->2.1. You will need to download three files to upgrade.
Below are the links to download the three files:
1.0->1.2:
ftp://nvrmini:nuuo@nuuo.dnsalias.com/NVRmini%20NV2040%20official%20release%20v1.2/nv2040_OS010409_1.2.1247.upg

NUUO Support,

We are about to upgrade the firmware of a NUUO NV-2040 for our installation partner. The current version of firmware on the NUUO NVR mini that we are about to upgrade is 1.03. We want to upgrade to the latest version, which looks like it is version 2.0 on the NUUO wiki. The firmware installation instructions make it seem like you can not upgrade directly from 1.03 to 2.0. It looks like you have to first be in firmware version 1.3 to upgrade to firmware 2.0.

So our question is, do we first nee to upgrade the firmware of the NVRmini to version 1.3 before we upgrade to 2.0?

Thanks for the support.
-Mike

NUUO Support,

A customer recently contacted us and asked the following questions:

1) How many users can be logged into the NUUO NVRmini remotely over the Internet at the same time? We already explained the limitation of bandwidth and how much would be required based on number of cameras, resolution, frame rate, etc., but is there a limitation to the # of users that can log in to the NVR?

2) Can certain users be limnited only to being able to view certain IP cameras on the system?

Thanks for your help as always.
-Mike
