I am working with the owners of an older DVR model (no manufacturer name on the outside) that recorded a burglary. I want to connect via the RJ-45 port to transfer the video files during the crime to my laptop for analysis & preservation.
Will an Ethernet cable work or do I need a specifically "RJ-45" cable?
Do I just telnet into it using the MAC address listed on the back of the DVR unit?
Any tips in the right direction appreciated - thank you!
