<p>Please see the below instructions for the instructions on how to Port Forward using a Linksys router with DD-WRT firmware.</p>
<p><strong>1.)</strong> Log in to your Linksys router by typing <a href="http://192.168.1.1" rel="nofollow">http://192.168.1.1</a> into your web browser. [By default  Username: root Password: admin]</p>
<p><strong>2.)</strong> Click the NAT/Qos Tab &#62; Port Forwarding</p>

3.)</strong> Fill In the following:</p>
<p><strong>Application:</strong> This can be anything. Does not matter.<br />

<strong>Port To: </strong>Same Port as Port From</p>
<p>Check the Enable Box.</p>
<p><strong>4.)</strong> Save the settings and then Apply Settings.</p>

<p>Please see below setup instructions on how to setup Port Forwarding on a ZyXEL Router.</p>
<p><strong>1.)</strong> Open a web browser and type in <a href="http://192.168.1.1" rel="nofollow">http://192.168.1.1</a></p>
<p><strong>2.)</strong> It will prompt you for the username and password. By default Username: <strong>admin </strong>Password: <strong>1234</strong></p>
<p><strong>3.)</strong> Now Click on the <strong>NAT link</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>4.)</strong>There should be a dot in the <strong>SUA Only</strong> setting. If this isn&#039;t the case, you can not setup port forwarding without making a major change to your network. I wouldn&#039;t advise changing this unless you know what you are doing. Alright, if there is a dot in the <strong>SUA Only</strong> setting, go ahead and click <strong>Edit Details</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>5.)</strong> Now fill in the following info:</p>

<strong>End Port: </strong>Same as start port<br />

<p><strong>6.)</strong> When you&#039;re finished, click Save near the bottom of the screen to save your changes</p>
<p><strong>7.)</strong> Now make sure the port is open with the following <a href="http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool">open port forwarding checker tool</a>: <a href="http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool" rel="nofollow">http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool</a></p>

<p>2.) Once you are logged into the Comcast router go to Firewall &#62; Port Configuration &#62; Press &#34;Add New&#34; Button</p>

<p><strong>Application Name:</strong> Whatever you like.<br />
<strong>Port Range:</strong> Port number of DVR /camera [If you have multiple DVR/cameras you will need to make a separate rule for each camera. Each device will need a unique port number. Cannot have multiple devices with the same port number]<br />
<strong>Protocol:</strong> Both<br />
<strong>IP Address:</strong> The IP address of your DVR / Camera</p>
<p><strong>NOTE:</strong> If your DVR/Camera is using port 80 you will want to change this to another port since Comcast does not like port 80.</p>
<p>Apply settings.</p>

I had the same problem with the Admin and password on remote access. The solution was to open ALL the ports on the router that the DVR uses not just the sign on ( usually 80 ). On my DVR the ports were in the ranfe 3356 to 3360 ). That done all worked fine.</p>
<p>Hope it works for some of you guys.<br />

I have tried setting the TL-MR3220 port forwarding using port 800. Set the static ip address for DCS-920 and the port number 800.<br />
Gotten  the ip address and added :800 but it did not work.<br />
I can view the router from remote but not the camera.<br />
Everything is viewable within the wireless network but not remote.<br />
Please advise.

<p>If you have two separate GeoVision DVR&#39;s on the same network you must change the http port so they are different as well. By deafault the GeoVisions http port is set to 80. On one of the machines you will need to change it to something different like 81. Once you do this , in the GV-iVIEW App you will need to type in the ip address:81 for the port number. Also in the port field below type in the Mobile port 8866 or 8867 depending on the DVR.</p>

<description><p>I have resolved the issue with the GViView and both the live view and the RPB are working fine.  Now all I will need to do is take my laptop to an off site location and see if it will work as it will not do so on the home network.  The problem with the iPhone viewer required the port number to be listed at the end of the IP on the GViView and as for the RPB I had to do a server update on the GeoVision program.

<description><p>How many simultaneous viewers can Geovisions System support using Internet Explorer web browser viewing?</p>
<p>For Geovision systems, the number of remote views is based upon the number of camera channels being viewed.<br />
Geovision can output a maximum of 125 channels simultaneously.</p>
<p>So for example, if you have 5 cameras being accessed at the same time for all users, the Geovision system can support 25 simultaneous users.</p>
<p>This goes for Geovision DVR cards as well as GV-NVR IP camera software.

<description><p>Since nothing seemed to work I shut down the computer and removed the hardware and did a destructive recovery of my PC which brought the system back to factory.  Installed all updates, the GeoVision GV600 DVR card and all required software (v8.4) and set the system up as required.  I can not log in from my laptop through the Internet Provider IP but can do so through my wireless network IP (this has only been done from home).  My GViView for live view through 3G I get login failed.  The remote playback I can log in but when I play back a stream I get flashes of green and white light no image.<br />
The operating system on my PC is XP with SP3.

<p>Are all of the ports showing open? Including the one that you changed?</p>
<p>Also if you changed the http port from 80 to say 8000. You will have to type in <strong>http://</strong>ipaddress<strong>:8000</strong>. Make sure you type in <strong>http://</strong> before the ip address and than <strong>:port numeber you changed the http port to.</strong></p>

<description><p>I have a Verizon iPhone 4 and GeoVision V8.3 and installed the GViView on my phone.  I followed the set up to the letter and can only get the RPB to work.  The DVR looks like it is going to log in and I get 8 blue screens where the images should be and after a few seconds it says login failed.  I have no problem with my remote view on my laptop from other locations and am wondering if it is an issue with the GViView.  If I use the IP address to my WAN while in range of the network I can get the DVR to work.  I&#39;m stuck any suggestions would be appreciated.

<description><p>Hi James. Tks for the help. I tried with port 8080 and it did work. In fact, I had already tried earlier and it did not work. However, as you were very positive about Iview working with other ports other than 80, I started thinking about what I was doing wrong and I sudenlly realized I had forgotten a very basic point: to include the port after my IP on Iview. In short, for the benefit of whoever might bump into the same problem:<br />
OO GEOVISION: go to Webserver Setup -&#62; HTTP Port and write 8080 (or other).<br />
On your Router: unblock this port on your Firewall (if it is blocked); it might be necessary to route WAN traffic on port 8080 to you PC IP (LAN traffic), if you have a router.<br />
On your Iphone: on the IP field -&#62; write your IP (ou a domain acquired with DynDns, e.g)followed by &#34;:8080&#34;; for example: 186.034.126:8080  or johnsmith.home.dyndns.org:8080<br />
It worked perfectly for me!!<br />

<description><p>Hi everyone. I have a GV-800 card on my PC and I want to use an IPhone4 with GV-iview to monitor my home cameras. The problem is that my ISP blocks port 80 and it seems that Iview only works if that port is available, because I always get a message saying the program is not able to connect to GV-800. I have followed all the instructions to config the board and teste it by taking the PC to a friend&#39;s house who uses a different ISP and I was able to see the cameras on my Iphone. Is there any way to get iview working with another port? Tks in advance for the help.

<p>I wonder if anyone is able to help me. I have an Avtech AVC796 DVR which works perfectly as a standalone unit. However, when I connect to it over my local network I am unable to login. </p>
<p>At the welcome screen I use username ADMIN (uppercase) plus my password that has been set on the box and which I successfully use locally. Then, having entered the verification code (again, using uppercase when displayed) the login fails with the message:</p>
<p>ERROR: Authentication error.</p>
<p>I hope it is a relatively easy fix - next up will be remote access over the internet followed by EagleEyes, but one step at a time!</p>

I have a geovision dvr connected to my home network and I can access it just fine from my iphone 4 , with the gv-iview app.  when i try to use the app on my iphone outside my network using at&#38;t 3g, i can only get the recorded view portion to work.  When i select the live view (dvr) using the required same ip address it starts to go to the six camera split screen page, but it is all black and only shows dvr and record button for a breif moment then it crashes and the app clodes completly.  I have all the required ports open, 8866. 80, 5511, etc.  I have checked them using the <a href="http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool">open port tool</a>.  The only thing that seems wierd is I cant port forward port 80 to my netgear router.  It says it is already being us by other configurations.  But the port checker tool says its open. And like i said the app does work with recorded view, just not live view.  The geovision capture card is 1480 ver. 8.3.4, and my iphone app is Gv-iView v2.1.1.  Do you know how to correct this problem.  I see it over and over again on support forumns and I have tried many of the tips I found on the forumns.  Let me know if you have a solution.  Thanks

Here is a calculator you can use to calculate Bandwidth , HDD Space and recommended Processor <a href="http://support.nuuo.com/calculator/" rel="nofollow">http://support.nuuo.com/calculator/</a></p>
<p>    * The minimum hardware required to run <a href="http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/NUUO-IP-Camera-Software-s/297.htm">NUUO IP camera software</a> depends mainly on the number of cameras and their video settings.<br />
    * The calculator is for NUUO IP+(NVR), NUUO SCB Series(DVR), NUUO Hybrid solution, or NUUO NVR.<br />
    * NUUO products support Windows 2003 32-bit and Windows XP 32-bit.<br />
    * All products also support Windows Vista 32-bit, except SCB-5000 Series and SCB-4016.<br />
    * The default bitrate for audio is 48 Kbps.<br />
    * Using network drives for recording is NOT recommended. It is recommended to directly attach a hard drive instead of using network drives.<br />
    * Minimum bandwitdh is the least amount of network capacity required for data streaming over LAN or internet.     2.       They want to be able to record all of the cameras as well. Some of them will be on full time record and some will be on motion recording. Would they be better off with 2 DVR’s to give them a longer playback time frame?<br />

If they are going over 32 cameras I would recommend to separate units. Also refer to calculator above for estimate on HDD recommendation.</strong></p>
<p>    3.       If they have 2 DVR’s, using the NUUO system, will they be linked?<br />

<p>1.) Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.2.1. </p>
<p>2.) You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is 1234. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.</p>

<p>4.) You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.</p>
<p>5.) Click the Add button and fill in the blanks.<br />

<strong>Type</strong>- You can leave on Both<br />
<strong>Port Range</strong>- Type in the port # you are trying to open<br />

<p>1.) Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1</p>
<p>2.) You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.</p>
<p>3.) Click &#34;Yes&#34; to proceed.</p>
<p>4.) Click the &#34;Firewall Settings&#34; icon, located on the middle of the top bar.</p>
<p>5.) Click &#34;Port Forwarding&#34;, in the menu on the left.</p>
<p>6.) Click &#34;Add&#34;, located in red near the bottom left corner. Most likely you will have to create a custom port.</p>
<p>7.) The &#34;Add Port Forwarding Rule&#34; screen appears. Click the arrows next to &#34;Specify Address&#34;. A drop down menu appears. Select the name of the device that you want to port forward.</p>
<p>8.) Select the type of Protocol from the Protocol drop down menu.</p>
<p>9.) Change &#34;Forward to Port&#34; to say &#34;Specify&#34;, then enter the device or applications port number that you need to forward.</p>

<description><p>This <a href="http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/support/">surveillance forum</a> post walks users through basic steps for setting up and trouble shooting remote viewing setup for <a href="http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Surveillance-DVRs-s/23.htm">surveillance DVRs</a>.</p>
<p>Most DVR&#039;s are very similar when setting up remote viewing.  The 1st step is enabling your remote viewing server. It may also be referred to as web server or webcam server.  The term will vary depending on the manufacturer of the DVR that you are setting up. This step may not apply for all DVR&#039;s, I noticed this applies more with PC Based DVR&#039;s.</p>
<p>Once you have the web server enabled you will need to get the LAN (Local Area Network) IP Address for your DVR. If you have a<strong> PC Based </strong><strong>DVR</strong> you can retrieve your IP Address by simply going to Start Menu &#62; All Programs &#62; Accessories &#62; Command Prompt. Once you have the Command Prompt window open type in ipconfig and press enter. That will give you your ip address. <strong>For stand alone DVR&#039;s</strong> you can find your LAN ip address by logging into your router and viewing the attached devices or in the network settings in your DVR. It may not be referred to as network setup the terminology may be a bit different you may want to open up your DVR Manual to check, I promise it wont bite. </p>
<p>Now that you have your LAN IP Address. We are going to try to connect to the DVR locally in other words with a pc on the same network as your DVR. Some DVR&#039;s require a client to be installed on the pc you are trying to connect from. Others allow you to connect using Internet Explorer. If you are trying to log in via internet explorer and your DVR is not using port 80 you will need to type your ip address like this <strong><a href="http://ipaddress:port" rel="nofollow">http://ipaddress:port</a> #</strong> so if my ip address is 192.168.1.100 and port number is 7000 It should look like this <strong><a href="http://192.168.1.100:7000" rel="nofollow">http://192.168.1.100:7000</a></strong>. If your default port is 80 you can just simply type the ip address in this case it would look like this 192.168.1.100</p>
<p>Once you have connected locally with your LAN IP Address you will need to setup port forwarding. This will forward the port for your DVR to the Internet so you can view it remotely. Here is a link to the port forwarding setup of some commonly used routers <a href="http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Internet-Surveillance-Setup-s/156.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Internet-Surveillance-Setup-s/156.htm</a>. Also if your router has any firewalls that may block the transmission of the video you will need to disable that firewall.</p>
<p>The last step is to get your WAN (Wide Area Network) IP Address you can do this by going to this website on a computer local to your dvr <a href="http://dvripaddress.com" rel="nofollow">http://dvripaddress.com</a> This website will display your ip address.Try to connect using this IP Address If you cannot connect using that ip address this means the ports are not open you can check using this useful tool <a href="http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool" rel="nofollow">http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool</a>. If you have DSL Service with a modem that is separate from the router call your internet service provider and tell them you need to bridge the modem to the router and take down any firewalls blocking the ports that you have forwarded.  Also if you have DSL in most cases you will not be able to connect with that ip address while you are still in the local network.</p>

<description><p>We Recently had a customer who was viewing his cameras remotely using the DMMultiView.He was trying to enable video polling to cycle through the cameras one at a time. After clicking the video polling it would only cycle one camera.</p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong> Hold down the ctrl button on your keyboard while holding, click all of the cameras you want to cycle through. If you are doing this correctly the camera box that you a selecting should have a red rim around the outside of the box. So you should have a red rim around all of the cameras you want to cycle through. Once you have all of the cameras selected press the video polling button. You have just successfully enabled video Polling!

<p>The DDNS and DHCP settings do overlap between the router and the DVR.  This is the case for any IP device.  </p>
<p>Some routers, like older LinkSys models do not let you setup static IP addresses for devices on your network so you must setup the static IP address for your devices using the device itself.  I am referring to internal (LAN) IP addresses right now.  I recommend setting your DVRs IP address using the DVR and like you said setting it way up at the high end of your routers DHCP range.</p>
<p>In regards to DDNS settings, again these setting can typically be managed by your router and by each device.  My preference and recommendation is to use the router to manage your DDNS settings or to download and windows client and use dyndns.org.  I found once that LinkSys was contacting the DDNS service too often and they disabled my account.  So I switched to using the windows client (it is a small program that is always running on a windows PC connected to your network) that they provide and I never had that problem again.  The downside to this method is the PC must always be running.</p>
<p>Last regarding the HTTP port, some ISPs are strange about incoming requests on port 80 so you may want to change that port if it causes you trouble and you are able to.</p>

<description><p>Ok, so I&#39;ve tried changing static ip inside dhcp range...works but then after a while it won&#39;t work anymore.  When I have the ddns settings set in router and dvr, I noticed that at first the status in dvr says &#34;ddns connection ok 14&#34;...but when it&#39;s not working it says &#34;ddns connection ok 2&#34;?  I have also noticed that when dvr is reset and I check the open port tool on the dyndns site it says port 80 is open and port 8841 is open, but if I go back and check port 80 again it will say &#34;refused&#34;?  Any thoughts on this?</p>
<p>I may try and change to dhcp in dvr as well...and take my chances of it not changing much as it&#39;s always on, and see if that makes a difference.</p>
<p>I know you can change the http port, well I thought you could...but I&#39;ve had no luck with that either.</p>

<description><p>This makes sense...but in the DVR network settings would I leave it to static or dhcp?  I am guessing static or how else would I be able to port forward if the DVR ip is changing?  The router dhcp server is from 100 to 149, so I could just make it 149 and leave it static in the dvr...right?<br />
As for the disconnects I think you may be right again, as when in the webviewer in internet explorer it doesn&#39;t seem to fully disconnect when clicking on that button.</p>
<p>One other question that I have found conflicting info on is that in the DVR network settings it has a ddns function that could be enabled or disabled...it is disabled as I have that function enabled on the router.  But it does seem to work when both DVR and router are enabled, but doesn&#39;t work when just DVR is enabled.  Any thoughts on enabling just in router or both router and DVR???</p>

<p>I have read a lot of good articles on this site to help me set up my stand-alone triplex 8ch dvr for remote viewing, but still have one minor issue that I can&#39;t seem to get any help on.  I have the dvr and a linksys router with time warner cable modem.  The router is configured to auto IP (needs to be for cable) so I have a dyndns host.  I use the port forwarding in the router to forward ports to my dvr and enabled ddns. The dvr is assigned a static IP outside of the dhcp range in the router for my home network.  Everything seems to work fine, I can connect internally and externally...except after I connect externally the dvr has to be power<br />
cycled to reboot before the remote view works again.  This is really confusing to me, and any suggestions you have to help me are appreciated!</p>
<p><strong>CCTV Camera Pros Response:</strong></p>
<p>Thank You for contacting CCTV Camera Pros.  That is a strange issue that you described but we do have a suggestion and some insight.</p>
<p>[list=1]<li>In my experience some routers act strange when you assign devices IP addresses outside of the DHCP server range and also assign port forwarding rules to that IP address.  You may want to try an IP address within the range but very high in the range so there is never a conflict.</li><li>Some DVRs are not very good at handling abrupt disconnects / connection drops.  So if by chance you are leaving that connection open when it is not in use and not closing it and your connection is lost, your DVR may think that connection is still open and will not allow another connection.  When you reboot the DVR this may be being reset.  This is just a theory based on experience with some DVRs that we have seen.  Our JPEG DVR sometimes has this problem.</li></p>

<description><p>A customer recently contacted us with the following questions.  Our answers are inline with the message:</p>
<p>Thank you for contacting CCTV Camera Pros.  Please see answers to your questions below:</p>
<p>    We currently have a JPEG2000 stand alone 16 camera DVR. We’ve picked out a nice rack mount server that we’d like to install a DVR card in to replace the JPEG2000. I see NUUO and Geovision, any major differences with them? </p>
<p>They both support the same major features.  NUUO is compatible with many more brand of IP cameras if you ever plan on using any IP cameras in your system.  NUUO is also a little more flexible in supporting multiple cards on a single system.</p>
<p>    We were looking at the GV-1240-16. I noticed the GV-1240-16 comes with Geovision version 8 software. Does that include some remote viewing capabilities? </p>
<p>Yes, both NUUO and Geovision are able to be remotely viewed from either Internet explorer or from the remote viewing client included on the CD.</p>
<p>    Looks like there’s separate CMS software for both NUOO and Geovision.</p>
<p>That is correct, both include CMS.</p>
<p>    For storage with either card, does it require a single drive or RAID array, or can we configure it to record onto multiple local drives? </p>
<p>Yes, either systems can record to one or multiple drives and both NUUO and Geovision support RAID because they are built in Windows which supports RAID.</p>
<p>    And would should we not use the OS drive for recording? </p>
<p>Correct, we always recommend not using the OS drive for video storage.</p>
<p>    Is there an easy formula for figuring how much history we can record before overwriting? </p>

<p>I apologize that I do not have one for Geovision.</p>
<p>    We’d like to get the best quality but still be able to save a reasonable amount, might end up with 4GB in storage but can easily add more if needed.</p>
<p>    Just looking to make sense of this so I can comfortably make a recommendation, both seem to be about the same price.</p>

I DID ALL THE NECESSARY CONFIGURATIONS ON THE DVR AND ON MY ROUTER(PORT FORWARDING ETC).I&#39;M ABLE TO VIEW THE IMAGES PERFECTLY ON MY PC (LAN 192.168.1.10 STATIC)BY TYPING IN THE ADMIN PASSWORD AND CHANGING THE NETWORK OPTION TO LAN.  (I HAVE A STATIC IP FROM MY ISP).THE PROBLEM AROUSES WHEN I WANT TO VIEW THE DVR THROUGH THE INTERNET. THE WEB APPLICATION BROWSER COMES ON,I INSTALLED THE DvrOcx AND I TYPED IN THE SAME PASSWORD I PLACED WHEN I WAS CONNECTED LOCALLY) AND CHANGE THE OPTION NETWORK TO INTERNET BUT THE LOGIN FAILS. (THERE ARE ONLY 2 OPTIONS ON THE IE. (PASSWORD AND 2 OPTIONS FOR NETWORK(LAN OR INTERNET). COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM....BECAUSE IT&#39;S VERY FRUSTRATING.THANKS AND I WILL BE GLAD IF YOU CAN HELP ME.

<description><p>I have down loaded the GV-iView app on my iphone. I am using linksys router with port forwarding set up for various ports, 81,80,8866,5511,4550,5550,3550. I can access remotely from other computers, however when I use the app on the iphone it tries to connect but will, after about 5 to 10 seconds, give me a message that the &#34;connectin failed&#34;. I have tried using all the various ports but still no luck.<br />
Can anyone help.<br />

<description><p>Oke thanks Mike well mines came with cd which is DX Client version 2.7.1 software. so i think mines is the one that you said dont support IE. and i was using port 80. so i will try what you said changing the port of my DVR because it was setup at 80. i will let you know further for any additional info<br />

<p>These are actually sets consisting of both transmitters &#38; receivers.  With each of these you can configure both of the antennas to be receivers to connect to an existing wireless network.</p>
<p>2) Does each camera have its own IP address that we could set up a link for online? </p>
<p>Yes.</p>
<p>3) How would we go about doing so?</p>
<p>You can access the cameras directly from Internet Explorer web browser. </p>
<p>4) Can multiple users view the same camera feed simultaneously?</p>
<p>Yes, but keep in mind that you are limited by how much bandwidth your network can support.  The more users that log on, the slower the response time will be.</p>
<p>5)  How difficult are the cameras to install? Are there any special steps that we would need to be aware of?</p>
<p>As long as you can run the cables between the cameras and wireless add-on, and you can supply power to the cameras, the rest is easy.</p>
<p>6) What do you think about the feasibility of our project?</p>
<p>It is feasable.  You just need to make sure it is realistic for you as far as how much bandwidth you have available on your network.</p>
<p>7) Do you have a ballpark price estimate for everything we would need?</p>

<p>A wired system is always more reliable than wireless.  If you can tap in to the network using wiring, you are better off.</p>

<description><p>We were recently contacted by a customer with the following questions:</p>
<p>My name is Danny and I am part of the student government at Indiana University. We are working on implementing a system that would allow any student to go onto the internet and be able to get a live feed of the work-out facilities that we have. We feel this would be extremely useful for our students because often the basketball courts and weight-training areas fill up around peak hours, creating a backlog of people waiting to use machines or to get on courts. By having a camera<br />
system, students would be able to check how busy the facilities are before they decide to go, saving students time and freeing up the facilities.</p>
<p>I’ve been doing some research on potential solutions. Based on what I’ve seen, it seems to me that purchasing multiple wireless IP network cameras would fit our needs. We have a secure wireless network that covers the campus, so it would be much easier to utilize the Wi-Fi than to run Ethernet cables along the walls. However, there are a few things that I don’t understand:</p>

<p>Start by verifying the following:</p>
<p><ul><li>What port # is your DVR using?  Make sure that you add the port number to the end of the URL like this: <a href="http://192.168.1.104:8000" rel="nofollow">http://192.168.1.104:8000</a> for example if your DVR uses port 8000.</li><li>If your DVR is using port 80, you may want to change it.</li><li>Are you sure that your DVR supports remote access through the IE web browser? Some DVRs do and some do not.  Some DVRs use a client application that comes with the DVR that you must install</li><br />

<description><p>Hi i&#39;m using a DSL modem (thompson speedtouch) wich ip is 10.0.0.138 to conect to the modem and that modem conect to a Linksys router (wi-fi) Linksys WRT310N with an ip of 192.168.1.1 and from the router i have two two other pc hooked up plus my Mpeg4 DVR which ip is 192.168.1.104 </p>
<p>the computer which i&#39;m working with, i have put an static Ip for it and it is 192.168.1.101 and the Mpeg4 DVR i put static IP to and its 192.168.1.104</p>
<p>i want to put my cameras so i can see it from home any help please i have made port forwarding but when conecting from webbrowser on my local network it brings me to the router. the hostname is capriecam.dyndns.org</p>

<p>We have a customer that has an existing PC based NUUO DVR with CCTV cameras.  The customer has two other locations that he want to add cameras to.  He is thinking that he wants to use IP cameras at the two additional locations along with <a href="http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Network-Video-Recorder-p/nuuo-nv-2040.htm">4 channel NUUO miniNVRs</a>.  The question is can he use the central monitoring software included with the NUUO NVR/DVR software to view cameras on both the <a href="http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Network-Video-Recorder-s/299.htm">stand alone NVRs</a> as well as the PC based DVR?</p>
