A customer recently contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following questions:

I have a new client who has bought a AVerDiGi EB 1304 NET .
I did not sell him the sytem - as his IT guy I know that he usses apple exclusively and that ActiveX is a no go. The problem is that he wants me to sort out remote viw for OSX and iphone.

Which leaves me to question : what I can do as I dont know if the iphone viewer requires mjpeg or mp4, the cameras on offer are all duplex cams. So basically give me more tech info so that I can match IPcams / DVR / video servers for clients using iphone - there is very little choice regarding survailance equipment avalible in South Africa

I belive that there are also websites which are able to pull the stream from DVR and upload to iphone / firefox and safari.
What are your thoughts on this - who would you recomend?

CCTV Camera Pros Response

For now we have 3 surveillance camera solutions that work with CCTV cameras or IP cameras with remote iPhone viewing access.

This is a stand alone analog (CCTV) DVR called the iDVR which will work with CCTV cameras only:
http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/H264-Stand-Alone-DVRs-s/358.htm

Our Geovision systems are hybrid, meaning that they work with both IP and CCTV cameras:
http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Geovision-DVR-Computers-Geovision-Surveillance-DVRs-s/60.htm

Here is a link to the iPhone application for Geovision:
http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Geovision-iPhone-Application-GV-iView-Setup-s/329.htm

Last, CCTV Camera Pros has developed an iPhone application that can work with IP cameras or with CCTV cameras connected to network video servers:
http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/CCTV-Camera-iPhone-App-s/362.htm

Please let us know if you have any questions about these solutions.

Sincerely.
