I have a 4-in1 type security camera that supports AHD, HDCVI, HD-TVI and analog CVBS video. I currently have the camera connected direct to my TV set via the RCA video input. I am currently using the analog CVBS video mode setting of the camera.

I would the image to be high definition instead of analog. I am wondering if I can switch the camera to 1080p HD-TVI mode and still connect it to my TV but now it HD.

    CCTV Camera Pros recommendation.

If your goal is to only view live video from your security camera on your TV and you do not need to record video to a DVR, this is what I recommend.

Connect HD-TVI Camera to TV with HDMI

You can switch your 4-in-1 camera to HD-TVI mode so that the video is 1080p HD. Then, connect your camera to this an HD-TVI to HDMI converter using coax cable.

Then, you can connect the HDMI output of the HD-TVI to HDMI converter to your TV. Now you can view the live video from your security camera on your TV. Please note that you can NOT use the RCA input on your TV for HD video. You must use the HDMI input.

Please let me know if we can help further.
