A customer contacted me with the following issue:
Hi Mike. I just checked my system and noticed my PC overloaded, so I had to restart my Geovision PC. It has been so long since logging in on the camera surveillance that I forgot my Geovision password. When I click on the Forgot Password button, it just says HINT, but does not reveal a hint. Maybe I never gave it one. Anyway, I need some help.
Here is the answer to this issue:
If you do not remember your Geovision password, hopefuly when you installed the software you chose the allow password removal option. This is an option when first installing the Geovision software. If you did, you can run the Geovision PassUnInstall.exe application which can be found in your Geovision installation directory (typically something like C:GV1240 C:GV800 for example). If your system does not allow that program to be executed, then you did not choose that option when you installed Geovision and you will most likely need to completely re-install your system.
