I am trying to get our GV IP security cameras linked to Ustream.
I started Ustream on the same PC the cameras are hooked up to, but as expected the GV camera does not show up as a device.
Is there anyway to get this done?

I also just received this response from GV support... doesn't sound very promising:
"Thank You for submitting to GeoVision Technical Support
Unfortunately, Ustream requires a webcam or cam recorder, which is different than our IP cameras for security purposes.
So it cant be connected to the Ustream platform.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank You and best regards,
GeoVision Technical Support "

Hello Ohseurope,
Your best bet when using Ustream is to use a standard analog CCTV camera http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Best-Infrared-Surveillance-Cameras-s/336.htm
Once you have a camera you would need the RCA to USB device, such as the pinnacle dazzle video capture device. This will allow the CCTV Camera to upload to the U-Stream service. http://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Live-Streaming-Cameras-s/395.htm

James Thanks, I will see whether the GV IP cameras we have installed are actually standard analog CCTV cameras i could use with dazzle.

Ohseurope,
GV IP Cameras are digital cameras and and typically run only over the RJ45 type connector. For Ustream and dazzle devices it will only accept a camera with a composite signal. So BNC or RCA will be fine.
