    The iDVR-PRO8 and iDVR-PRO16 CCTV DVRs support 4 channels of audio surveillance when a surveillance microphone is connected. Audio must be enabled on the DVR. Users can enable the Audio by accessing the DVRs admin functions from the Internet Explorer web browser.

    To enable audio surveillance for iDVR PRO via Internet Explorer, please follow these instructions:

    1. Locate your dvr on the network and enter the IP address into the address bar of Internet Explorer.

  • Login to the dvr (the default user name is “ADMIN” and the password is 1234)

  • Once the live feeds are playing, select a channel and select the speaker icon at the bottom of the screen (it is muted by default).

    Audio surveillance is now enabled.

Thanks for the post.

I understand that this is how you enable audio surveillance live monitoring in the web browser. I have the following questions:

  1. If you are using more than one channel of audio surveillance, how do you select the channel that you want to listen to?

  • How do you enable audio surveillance recording?
  • Does remote playback from the web browser also play the audio?
  • Does remote audio monitoring work with the iDVR-PRO iPhone app?
