A customer contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following questions:

I wanted to see if your company can assist me with my security camera & DVR needs. Here is what I'm looking for:

I would like to have 5 cameras connected to a DVR for recording. In addition to remotely monitoring the cameras via the Internet and the local network, I would also like to monitor the cameras from iPhone using cell phone coverage, ie. 3G, Edge.

Is this setup possible? If so, would you please respond to this email at your earliest convenience.

    CCTV Camera Pros response:

Yes this is possible using either our iDVR stand alone DVRs or Geovision PC based DVRs. They are both great solutions and both offer remote viewing using the iPhone as well as a laptop or desktop PC. The Geovision system is higher end with a very nice native iPhone app, GV-iView, for camera viewing. The iDVR is a more economical solution where you access the cameras from the safari web browser for iPhone access. Here are links to the two different DVRs:

Here are the setup instructions for the GV-iView iPhone app for Geovision:

Either of these systems can be used with any CCTV camera on our website:

Please let us know if you have any other questions or would like to receive a free quote.

    Sincerely.
