Hello,

Please see the below instructions for the instructions on how to Port Forward using a Linksys router with DD-WRT firmware.

1.) Log in to your Linksys router by typing https://192.168.1.1 into your web browser. [By default Username: root Password: admin]

2.) Click the NAT/Qos Tab > Port Forwarding

    3.) Fill In the following:

Application: This can be anything. Does not matter.

Port From: The Port # of the DVR/Camera

    Protocol: Both

Port To: Same Port as Port From

    Check the Enable Box.

4.) Save the settings and then Apply Settings.

5.) Now make sure the port is open https://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool

NOTE: If the port is open you will use the Remote IP Address you get from the port checker tool. However you will need to type it in as follows via web browser https://ipaddress:port number, [eg. if your ip address is 74.96.36.98 and your port is 8000 than it should look like this when you type it into your web browser https://74.96.36.98:8000.%5D

Please let us know if you have any questions
