The rating consists of the letters "IP" followed by two digits. The rating is defined by the international standard IEC 60529. The rating tells you the level of protection that the security camera body provides against the intrusion objects (including water). The standard basically defines the level or "waterproof-ness" that a camera provides.</p> <p>The digits within the code indicate the level of protection.
