    Hi,

I'm a newbie to the world of CCTVs and DVRs and have a query which I hope you guys can help me with. I have been given an E-Vision H.264 DVR which has been connect to four outdoor CCTV cameras and all is working great. I am trying to set up the DVR for remote viewing on my iPhone using an app they recommended vMeye. However, as I'm new to all of this I have no idea whatsoever as to what I am doing on the DVR settings. I can get all the IP addresses etc but it asks for something called TCP Port and HTTP Port, again which I have no idea what these are.

Please can anyone out there help me with the above.

    Thanks

    pops,

Although I am not familiar with E-Vision DVRs, the process generally the same for all DVRs.

    1) You need to figure out the port that your DVR is running on. Typically, you can access a network settings screen on your DVR that will tell you this.

    2) You need to setup port forwarding on your router for this port so that you can access your DVR remotely over the Internet.

    3) You need to program the correct settings into the iPhone app so that you can access the DVR.

Take a look at the iPhone and iPad app instructions for CCTV Camera Pros iDVR. Use these steps and concepts to guide you on your DVR as much as possible.

    I hope this helps.
