    Hello Crow,

Have you forwarded the ports for the GeoVision iPhone Setup?

    80- HTTP
    8866- LIVE VIDEO
    5511- PLAYBACK

    Thanks James

    Crow,

Are you sure the ports are open. You can make sure with this tool http://videos.cctvcamerapros.com/check-open-port-forwarding-tool

If they are reading closed I would first double check all of the port forwarding rules in the router to make sure you have all of the credentials filled in correctly.

Also if you have DSL or satellite provider and you are using a third party router in conjunction with a modem you will want to call them and ask them to bridge the modem to your router.

    I hope this helps

    Thanks James

so if I verify the ports are NOT open and I have comcast cable modem/gateway linked to linksys router where I believe I have all the settings correct, is it still likely I would have to call comcast to "bridge" them?

    thanks

    Crow,

Yes with the any business Gateway/Modem combo device you will need to bridge the device to your router.

    Thanks James
