Can an IR Housing be used with a Zoom Camera?

A customer recently contacted CCTV Camera Pros and asked the following:

I have a surveillance installation that requires a zoom camera, however I noticed there are no zoom cameras on the market that also have built in infrared illumination. Can this zoom camera:

be used with an outdoor camera housing with IR illuminators like this one?

Yes, as long as a camera has an IR filter built into it when it turns to night mode, the camera will pick up infrared light. The PTZ-9210Z41 18x zoom security camera that you were looking at does have a built in mechanical IR filter.
