I have a four camera surveillance system. Each camera is powered by its own power adapter that is connected to each camera via the connecting cable –four cables and four 12 volt AC/DC adapters—what I’d like to do is buy a four channel power supply box so that I can connect all four cameras to a single power supply. My question is, is there any kind of adapter that would allow me to use the cables that I’m presently using and connect them to the multi-channel power supply without having to cut and strip the end of cable that connect to each power adaptor. As you know each cable comes with a male plug that connects into power adapter’s female connector. I do hope you understand my question. What do you recommend or suggest to accomplish this?.
Yes, it is possible to use a multi-camera power supply box with pre-made Siamese coax cable that already has the male power plug end attached. You can simply attach PT-3 female power lead to the end of your existing cable.
