Can a CCTV video amplifier be located at DVR end of cable?

A customer contacted me yesterday and asked if CCTV video amplifiers can be positioned on the DVR end of the coax cable run, instead of the security camera end. This particular customer had a one of his cable runs at about 800 feet and knew that RG59 cable would not be sufficient to transmit the video signal that distance, so he was interested in using a single channel video amplifier for that one security camera.

The answer is Yes, you can position any of the CCTV video amplifiers that we supply at either end of the cable run.
