Which Security Cameras are Compatible with Lorex LH016000 DVR System?

I have an older Lorex LH016000 security camera system and would like to add a few cameras. I have 8 open ports available that have BNC video input. Lorex tech support told me that the only camera that is compatible is the LBV2723B. Lorex would not provide a clear answer as to whether my system is analog or HD-over-Coax compatible. Can you please help me confirm which types of cameras are compatible with my Lorex DVR? I am happy to use a non-Lorex brand camera, especially is the cost and/or quality is better. I am looking for both indoor and outdoor CCTV cameras.

This is a question that I recently received from a customer. This is the advice that I gave him.

The DVR that came with the Lorex LH016000 system is the LH160 ECO 6 Series DVRs. That is an analog CCTV DVR that supports 960H resolution. It is only compatible with analog CCTV cameras and will not work with HD-over-Coax cameras (AHD, HD-TVI, or HDCVI).

You can use any of these analog CCTV cameras with it.

Please note that you can also use any of our 4-in-1 cameras in analog mode, then later when you want to upgrade to a 1080p DVR, you can switch these cameras to one of the 1080p HD-over-Coax video mode.
