  • Our Viewtron Hybrid DVRs have the ability to support BNC cameras as well as IP cameras. However, the amount of IP cameras that can be supported will depend on what model of DVR you have.

    If you purchased your Viewtron Hybrid DVR after January 1st, 2026, here is how many IP cameras your DVR can support:

    VT-DVR-4: 2 additional IP channels, up to 6 ch. 6 total channels supported

    VT-DVR-8: 8 additional IP channels, up to 16ch. 16 total channels supported

    VT-DVR-16: 8 additional IP channels, up to 16ch. 24 total channels supported

    VT-DVR-32/4K: 8 additional IP channels, up to 16ch. 40 total channels supported

    Please note that you will have to disable some of your Coaxial outputs on the back of the DVR in order to utilize extra IP channels!
