  • How do I log into an IP security camera web UI when the camera is plugged into a Viewtron NVR PoE port?

    When Viewtron IP cameras are powered from the NVR PoE ports, you can log into the cameras web UI directly using the following method.

    1. Find the NVR IP address

    On the Viewtron NVR local UI:

    1. Go to Start > Settings > Network > TCP/IP.
    2. Note the Address for the Ethernet port you use on your LAN (often Ethernet Port 1).

    On a PC on the same network, open a browser and go to that IP address to log into the NVR web UI.

    2. Open the camera web UI from Edit Camera

    Once you are logged into the NVR web UI:

    1. Go to Function Panel > Camera > Edit Camera.
    2. Find the camera in the list.
    3. Click the Settings (gear) icon for that camera.

    The NVR opens that camera’s direct web UI so you can change camera settings while it stays connected to the NVR PoE port.

    Otherwise you can  manually call out to the POE ports.
    You can do this using the following callout –> http://NVRsipaddress:59POEport# (the POE port #s are as follows POE Port # 1 = 101,   POE Port # 2 = 102,  POE Port # 3= 103,  etc up to 116)
    So if the NVRs IP address is 192.168.0.103 and the POE port you are trying to connect to is #2 it will look this –> http://192.168.0.103:59102
    POE port # 11 would look like this etc –> http://192.168.0.103:59111

    Quick checklist

    • Find NVR IP: Start > Settings > Network > TCP/IP.
    • Browse to the NVR IP and log into the NVR web UI.
    • Function Panel > Camera > Edit Camera > Settings (gear) opens the camera web UI.
    • Works while the IP camera stays plugged into the Viewtron NVR PoE ports.
