  • How do I listen to live audio (or playback audio) on a Viewtron NVR / DVR from the HDMI monitor, the web UI, or SuperLive Plus?

    You can enable camera audio three ways: right-click Enable Audio on the HDMI live / playback screen, unmute audio in the web UI Operation panel, or tap the speaker icon in SuperLive Plus. If you still hear nothing on a Viewtron NVR, confirm the camera microphone is enabled under AI / Event Audio settings.

    1. Enable audio on the HDMI live or playback screen

    On the local monitor connected to the NVR / DVR HDMI output:

    1. Right-click the camera tile you want to hear (live view or playback).
    2. Select Enable Audio.

    As long as your monitor has speakers (or speakers are connected through HDMI), the camera audio passes through the recorder HDMI output.

    2. Enable live audio in the DVR / NVR web UI

    Open the recorder web UI from a PC on the same network:

    1. Go to Live Display.
    2. Select the camera in the list.
    3. In the Operation panel on the right, unmute / enable the live audio controls (microphone / speaker icons and volume slider).

    3. Listen in SuperLive Plus

    In the SuperLive Plus mobile app:

    1. Open the Live screen and tap the camera you want to hear.
    2. Tap the speaker icon near the bottom of the screen to listen to that camera’s audio.

    4. If you still do not hear audio (NVR microphone enable)

    Note: If you do not hear audio, make sure the camera microphone is enabled. This Enable checkbox applies to Viewtron NVRs. Viewtron DVRs do not have that Enable toggle; on a DVR, audio is available when the microphone is plugged in.

    On the NVR:

    1. Go to Start > Settings > AI / Event > Audio.
    2. Select the camera from the dropdown.
    3. Open the Audio Device tab.
    4. Check Enable, then click Apply.

    Quick checklist

    • HDMI: right-click camera tile > Enable Audio (monitor needs speakers).
    • Web UI: Live Display > Operation panel > unmute live audio.
    • SuperLive Plus: Live > select camera > speaker icon.
    • NVR still silent: Start > Settings > AI / Event > Audio > Audio Device > Enable > Apply.
    • DVR: no Enable toggle; audio works when the mic is connected.
