Although CCTV Camera Pros only can provide phone, email, and online chat based technical support for the DVRs that we supply.

The concepts and setup process for all surveillance DVRs is the same. Here are basic steps required for just about any brand DVR or IP camera.

Does the Internet connection at the location of your DVR or IP camera use a dynamic IP address? If yes, you need to setup a DDNS account. Some DVRs and IP cameras has a DDNS service built into them. You can learn more about DDNS here.

And, you can see how it is setup using our iDVR-PRO CCTV DVRs here.

The second thing that need to be done is setting up port forwarding. You can learn more about port forwarding here.

And you can access a port forwarding tool to make sure your setup is working correctly here.
