PHowell,

In order to access your camera remotely either from our iCamViewer or directly from the Safari (or other) web browser, you must setup port forwarding to your camera. Please take a look at the port forwarding instructions on this page:

https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Internet-Surveillance-Setup-s/156.htm

After you setup port forwarding, to access your cameras from outside of your local network (LAN) you must use the WAN IP address of the location of your camera, which is the IP address of your internet connection. You can lookup this address by using our IP address lookup tool here:

https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Get-IP-Address-s/174.htm

Last, if your internet connection uses a dynamic IP address (which means your ISP can change it from time to time) you will want to use a dynamic dns service so that you can enter a hostname instead of an IP address when you access remotely. The DynDns service keeps track of when your IP address changes and you never need to worry about it. You can read more about this here:

https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Internet-Surveillance-Setup-s/156.htm#dynamic-dns-setup

If your Internet connection has a static IP address, you can just use the IP all the time and you do not need to use DDNS.

Please let us know if we can help further.

Sincerely.
