I am not familiar with those apps but the concepts to setup remote access to a most surveillance DVRs is the same.

What you are describing is a common problem that you can read more about here:

Please use our check open port forwarding tool to make sure that port 101 is properly forwarded on your router.

Open Port Checker, Port Forwarding Test

Make sure that when you access from outside your network, you are using the Internet gateway address of your modem's Internet connection. Go to this page from a computer that is connected to the same network as your DVR.
