What would you recommend that i do? I can access the dvr perfectly well within the local network Thanks Gustavo February 5, 2010 at 12:37 pm #31988 Mike HaldasKeymaster Gustavo, If you are able to access on your local network but not remotely over the Internet, then most likely one of the following is the problem: Your port forwarding is not setup correctly Your modem has a firewall that needs to be disabled You are using DSL with a separate router and your DSL modem is not properly bridged To setup your port forwarding, you must know what ports your DVR uses and you can refer to these instructions: https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Internet-Surveillance-Setup-s/156.htm#port-forwarding-setup If you are using DSL and you need to find out if there is a firewall or if your DSL modem needs to be bridges to your router, you should contact your service provider.
