GeoVision DDNS Server Not Working

We recently had a customer who came to us looking for a solution to the following issue:

“Hello,
I have a GeoVision DVR card and my ddns server is not working. I cannot connect remotely I cant connect to ns.dipmap.com so what can be the problem Thanks…”

This can be a few things. Please see below for trouble shooting tips.

1. Make sure the webcam server on your GV NVR/ DVR is running

2. Make sure the GV DDNS Client software is running. The GV-DDNS is a separate client software that runs in the background of your PC <a href=”https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Geovision-DVR-Dynamic-DNS-Setup-

3. Try using Geovisions new DDNS server ends in .gvdip.com.

In order to use the .gvdip.com you will have to run the GV-Dynamic DNS Service V2 software v8.6.0.0 and sign up. The client software GV-Dynamic DNS Service V2 can be downloaded here
