My hard drive crashed, and I installed a new one. Then, reinstalled windows xp. Now, Im not sure how to get my geovision to work. I have a GV600-16 card, but no software cd. A local company originally did the install a few years ago. I tried to take the card out then put it back in, hoping the computer would "recognize new program" but that did not work.
I emailed geovision, but their reply was to get back to me in 2-3 days. Im trying to save money by fixing this myself since we are on a tight budget right now. Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated.
GeoVision is very slow about getting back to customers in regards to the GeoVision disk if ever. Your best bet is to go to https://usavisionsys.com, once here on the right hand side of the webpage you will see the live chat icon. Wait until they are online and initiate a chat. Go ahead request the software via live chat, they will require the Serial number for the GeoVision DVR card which can be found on the the DVR card itself (usually starts with 4-5 zeros). Once the serial number is verified they will send you a link directly to the FTP site where you can download the software at no cost.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks James
