  • A customer contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following question: We want to upgrade our current camera system. We currently have the ability to capture a single frame snapshot every 30 seconds and FTP upload the image to a web server for display on a web page. Does the Viewtron VT-HD404 model DVR have this capability?

    Thank You for contacting CCTV Camera Pros. I am sorry but at this time Viewtron DVRs do not have the ability to automatically capture snapshots at set intervals in the way that you describe. This is a very common feature network video servers that can be used with non HD-SDI CCTV cameras, but there are no HD-SDI video servers on the market with that type of time lapse / FTP snapshot function on the market that I know of. If I could find a manufacturer that makes such a device, CCTV Camera Pros would likely start carrying it.
