A customer recently contacted CCTV Camera Pros with the following question related to the PTZ-9480X10 pan tilt zoom camera:

Can you please let me know if the PTZ-9480X10 has a horizon adjustment? I am not sure if you have heard of this but our some Pelco and Bosch PTZ cameras have an adjustment that you can make on the camera so that when the camera is tilted all the way up, it can go a bit higher. We are having trouble getting a high enough angle on objects 100 feet away from where our PTZ is mounted. Can you please let me know if this camera has some type of adjustment like this?

    CCTV Camera Pros response:

Yes, adjusting the tilt setting / horizon setting higher is possible with the PTZ-9480X10 camera. Here are the instructions:

To release the default horizon setting (tilt up) to tilt higher, use a PTZ controller and enter the following on the keyboard:

    Call + 70 + Enter

If you want to adjust the horizon height of the PTZ back to original factory default setting enter:

    Preset + 70 + Enter

Please let us know if we can help further.
