How to use IP Camera RTSP stream on Zoom

Home Forums IP Camera Support How to use IP Camera RTSP stream on Zoom

  • In this article, I will be going over how to broadcast an IP camera RTSP stream on Zoom.com. In this setup, I will be using a Viewtron IP camera. Please note that although I am using a Viewtron IP camera to setup the RTSP stream on Zoom, these setup instructions can be applied to any network IP camera that makes it’s RTSP video stream URL available to use.

The key to setting up an IP camera on Zoom is that you must know the RTSP stream URL of the IP camera that you are setting up. Most IP cameras require that you enable the RTSP stream in the camera’s configuration (usually accessed via a web browser).

Enable IP Camera’s RTSP Stream URL

To enable the RTSP stream on a Viewtron IP camera, access the camera via the web browser interface. The default user ID is: admin. The default password is: 123456.

After you login, do the following.

    1. Click on the Config tab in the upper right.
    2. Click on the Port link in the Network section.

    Next.

    1. Click on the RTSP link on the Network configuration screen.
    2. Check the Enable check box
    3. Check the Allow anonymous login checkbox
    4. Note the RTSP stream Addresses URLs. Most Viewtron IP cameras have more than one RTSP stream URL, where each one supports a different resolution. The Main stream is the highest resolution.

These are the RTSP streams from the above example where the IP address of the IP camera is 192.168.0.158.

And if we did not check the “Allow anonymous login” checkbox, we must include the IP camera’s userID and password on the URL like this.

Create a Manycam and Zoom.us Account

    1. You will need to create an account on manycam.com and zoom.us Once the accounts are created you will need to download and install the zoom client software and manycam client
