  • How do I set up NAT on a Viewtron DVR or NVR and connect the SuperLive Plus mobile app when I do not have a local monitor to plug into the recorder?

    You can do the whole path from a PC on the same network: find the recorder IP with Viewtron IPTOOL, open the DVR / NVR web UI, open the NAT page, then scan the QR code in SuperLive Plus.

    1. Find the DVR / NVR IP address with Viewtron IPTOOL

    Download and run the Viewtron IPTOOL on a Windows PC that is on the same network as the recorder.

    1. Start IPTOOL and let it scan the network.
    2. When the DVR / NVR IP address appears in the list, double-click it, or type that IP address into a web browser.

    That opens the Viewtron DVR / NVR web UI.

    2. Log into the DVR / NVR web UI

    When the login screen appears, sign in with the recorder username and password. The factory default is username admin and password a1111111 (change it if you already set a custom password).

    3. Open NAT and scan the QR code

    Once you are logged in:

    1. Go to Settings (Function Panel) > Network > NAT.
    2. Open the SuperLive Plus app on your phone.
    3. Scan the QR code shown on the NAT page. The app prefills the DVR / NVR connection details; type the recorder password in manually.

    4. Install SuperLive Plus

    Download SuperLive Plus from the Apple App Store or Google Play for iPhone or Android.

    5. Scan the QR code from the Live screen

    In SuperLive Plus:

    1. Open the app to the Live screen.
    2. Tap the QR Scan icon in the top right of the app UI.
    3. Scan the QR code from the recorder NAT page.

    6. Play live video when the connection is green

    After the device is added, you should see a green Wi-Fi signal next to the new connection. When it is green, tap the Play button to view the live security camera video feed.

    Quick checklist

    • Same LAN PC: run Viewtron IPTOOL, find the DVR / NVR IP, open it in a browser.
    • Web login default: admin / a1111111 (unless already changed).
    • NAT path: Settings (Function Panel) > Network > NAT.
    • SuperLive Plus: Live screen > QR Scan > enter password > Play when the signal is green.
    • Works when you have no local monitor on the recorder.
