We intend on installing an IP camera to be used as a webcam emebdded live on our website. I have seen the article making me aware how to embed the video stream into a webcam, however I was wondering if the video quality can be downgraded in case the video traffic is too large for our poor internet speeds? Can the bandwidth be limited.

I am looking to purchase a Zavio 7210 with the outdoor housing and heater/fan. Will they heater and fan work off of POE?

We received the above question in regards to using a PoE IP camera for a website webcam. Here is the info that CCTV Camera Pros provided.

Unfortunately there is no way to power the ZAVIO F7210 and the outdoor housings heater / blower both via POE. The housing would require a separate power supply. I would recommend the following camera which is pre-enclosed in an outdoor rated housing and can be powered via POE — https://www.cctvcamerapros.com/Bullet-Outdoor-IP-Camera-p/zavio-b8220.htm

In regards to the embedded image, it will actually use the 2nd stream of the camera. In the camera settings you can adjust the resolution, frame rate and quality to help with bandwidth management. Here is a screen shot of the screen used to manage this in the Zavio firmware.
