We recently received the following system planning question from a potential customer:

My wife and I have a second home in Maine and I would like to install a remote viewing security camera system that incorporates up to 3 PTZ cameras. I have been looking at your site and found that the Everfocus EPTZ1000 camera has the specs that I'd like to have. Ideally, we'd be able to control and view the cameras either from the Maine home, or elsewhere via the Internet. What can you offer for suggestions for a system with remote PTZ controls?

    CCTV Camera Pros Recommendation:

Thank You for contacting CCTV Camera Pros and for your interest in doing business with us. If it is within your budget, I would recommend this outdoor IP PTZ camera over the analog EPTZ1000. The reason is because IP PTZ cameras are much easier to setup and adjust because both the video and the controls are all done digitally over a cat-5 data cable. In addition, the video is captured and transmitted digitally using a progressive scan sensor on the IP model which provides a really awesome picture. Here is the IP based PTZ camera that I would recommend:

I can work with you on the price if you were to buy 3 of them with a recorder to get it much closer to the price of the EPTZ1000 camera. I would recommend 3 of the IP-V97151 cameras with one of our NUUO stand alone network video recorders:

This recorder will let you login to view and control all three cameras remotely from Internet explorer. The NVR also has some amazing recording features and and an easy to use interface. You can watch a video here to see the NVR in action:

Please email or call me to discuss further. I look forward to working with you.
