Some months ago I bought a whole 4 cam surveillance-system in Switzerland and tried now to install it in French Polynesia. First thing I always check, is there any new firmware. And there my walk to Canossa started… I could not find a similar model (view by picture) on your website, but it must be a product basically from you, just put in another housing. I can see H.264. It's for 4 cams and is able to send you an alarm even on your mobile-phone (G3). The add-in for the web-access in IE8 was downloaded from your site. When looking in the settings I can see a serial# 0004002C18 and a firmware T020343 and nowhere an exact productname or number.

On the other hand I found a firmware-update on your site in a ZIP-file DVR-MP4X2-Firmware… and on unzipping that file I get an update-file named all.dvp. Before killing my recorder with a wrong firmware I would ask here, if the mentioned firmware is for all models (including mine)?

    Tiki,

We do not recommend installing any firmware that you downloaded from our website unless you purchased your DVR from CCTV Camera Pros and are sure it is the correct model. It is not because we don't want you to use our formware updates. We actually try to help everyone out as much as possible with support, even for people that did not purchase equipment from us. It is one of the reasons that we have this support forum. We do not recommend using the firmware updaye because many times DVRs will look the same as the models that we offer by not in fact be made by the same manufacturer. There is a risk that incorrect firmware can damage your DVR.

If you did purchase the DVR from CCTV Camera Pros, please let me know the email address that was used for your order so that I may lookup and see which DVR you have. You can email your order information to info@cctvcamerapros.net.

    Thank You.

    -Mike
