Locked out of the Viewtron VMS software? Here’s how to reset your password and get back in. Most people can do it themselves in a few minutes. If you can’t, we can generate a one-time password for you. (Locked out of the NVR or DVR itself? See How to Reset a Forgotten Viewtron NVR or DVR Password.)
What You Need
- Access to the computer running Viewtron VMS
Step 1: Try the Factory Default Login
If the password was never changed, use the factory default: username admin, password 123456.
Step 2: Use Forgot Password and Your Security Questions
On the Viewtron VMS login screen, click Forgot Password. If you set up security questions when you installed the VMS, answer them to reset your password.
Step 3: Request a Dynamic Password from Us
- If you didn’t set up security questions, choose the Dynamic Password tab and take a screenshot of it.
- Leave that screen open. If you close it, the code changes.
- Send us the screenshot (see Contact Us below). We’ll send back a temporary password.
- Log in with it and set a new password right away.
