I’ve got a Swann Pro-T835Cam security camera that has the BNC video connection and to connect the camera to the HDMI input on a TV so that I can view live video. How can I connect a Swann security camera to a TV?

I received this technical support question today. This is the answer that I provided.

The Swann Pro-T835Cam is a 720p HD-TVI format camera. You can connect Swann 720p and 1080p TVI cameras to an HDMI input of a monitor by using a TVI to HDMI converter. Please see the below image.

Please note that the use of the DVR in the above diagram is optional. The HDCV-3-T converter has a BNC loop output in case you want to also connect the camera to a DVR or other device.

You can find this converter here.

Another option is to use this HD-TVI compatible video multiplexer. It will work with your Swann camera and many other HD over coax security cameras. It supports up to 4 cameras and has a wireless remote control that lets you select a single or multiple camera views. You can use the multiplexer with one camera and put the output in single camera view, then if you add additional cameras later, you can select double or quad view.

You can find 4, 9, and 16 ch CCTV multiplexers that are compatible with HD-TVI, AHD, and HDCVI cameras here.
