4mp vs 4k side-by-side

Here is a side-by-side comparison at 200% digital zoom. You can see that 4K ultra HD video resolution makes a big difference when compared to 4mp resolution. That is why CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends a 4K IP camera system.

4 megapixel versus 4K security cameras. Good morning, everyone. Mike from CCTV Camera Pros here. In this video, I’m going to compare video surveillance footage recorded using a 4 megapixel IP camera to a 4K IP camera. Both of these cameras are from our Viewtron product line, and both of them are connected to the same Viewtron NVR. Let’s take a look.

First up is the video surveillance recorded with the 4 megapixel security camera. It’s highly recommended that you watch these videos on a 4K monitor and make sure that the YouTube player is playing the video in 4K resolution.

I’m going to pause the video here and digitally zoom in 200%.

Next, here’s the video surveillance recorded with the 4K security camera. Please note that 4K resolution is equivalent to 8 megapixel, so it’s twice the resolution of a 4 megapixel camera.

I’m going to pause the video here and digitally zoom in 200%.

Here’s a side by side comparison of the 200% zoom snapshots.
