Infrared PTZ Camera Zoomed in 575 Feet from Mobile App

Watch this video to see this infrared PTZ camera zoom in on a truck that is parked 575 feet away. I am remotely accessing the security camera system at CCTV Camera Pros office using the Viewtron mobile app for iPhone. Please note that the pan tilt zoom controls are exactly the same in the mobile app for Android.

auto-tracking PTZ

The Viewtron IP-PTZ-425 is a 4 megapixel IP PTZ camera with 25x optical zoom, AI object detection software, and auto-tracking capability.

IP Camera NVR

IP Camera NVR

The camera is connected to one of our Viewtron IP camera NVRs. I am actually accessing the NVR remotely using the iPhone app (not the camera directly). Please note that you can also use this camera without an NVR and connect directly to it from the Viewtron mobile apps and desktop software.

You can watch some auto-tracking PTZ video demos here.

25x Zoom Capability

Here is a still image with the camera zoomed all the way out. You can see the truck way in the distance (575 feet away). Please note that the camera is running in IR night vision mode but our parking lot does have plenty of lighting, so it is no where close to a zero light demo. However, parking lot surveillance is a fairly common use for this PTZ camera and most have lighting similar to ours.

Here is a snapshot of the camera zoomed in on the truck using the full 25x optical zoom of the camera.

Video Transcript

Hey guys, Mike from CCTV Camera Pros here.

I wanted to share this very short video with you. This video wasn’t planned, but I happened to be logging into the security camera system at the office last night from my iPhone. And I was playing around with our auto tracking PTZ camera. You can manually control that as well. You could see it mounted there behind me.

That’s a 25 time zoom IP camera, and I was just zooming around. I was bored at home and I happened to zoom in on a truck way down at the gas station, past our Plaza, and it was crystal clear to see this truck. So this morning, when I came in, I measured how far that truck is, how far this parking space was where that truck was at from this camera and it’s 575 feet away.

Take a look at this video and watch we zoom in on a truck 575 feet away with our 25 time zoom auto tracking PTZ camera.

Okay. So here’s the live view on the Viewtron iPhone app, and I’m going to enable the PTZ controls by tapping on that icon, and then I’m going to pan over. That’s a gas station next door way in the distance. I’m going to pan over and then going to start zooming in, and I need to pan up just a little bit and then zoom in more and look at that. That U-Haul truck is 575 feet away. Let me disable the PTZ control so you can see full screen and then I’ll enable the controls again and I’ll zoom back out. Look at how far this is, pretty awesome.

And when I’m done, I click on that X in the lower right to disable to controls and then tap on the screen to hide the menu. Guys, as you could tell, I was pretty impressed with the performance of that PTZ. It’s a four megapixel resolution IP camera, and to control it, I have it connected to one of our Viewtron NVRs and then I logged in remotely from home from the iPhone app. It works the same in the Android app. You can also control it from the Viewtron desktop software for Windows and Macintosh.

We have additional videos you could watch. Again, it’s an auto tracking PTZ, so it could detect human objects or car objects and track them as they enter our parking lot. And we have some video demos of that on the website, along with a bunch of other demos of our AI camera systems.

Thank you for watching.
