Security Camera Remote Monitoring Software Alarm Setup

Watch this video to learn how-to setup alarm alerts using Viewtron remote monitoring software. The Viewtron CMS software for Mac and Windows (security camera monitoring software) allows users to remotely monitor multiple security camera DVR / NVR locations. This security camera software is called Viewtron VMS. The software can also connect directly to Viewtron IP cameras (without a recorder). Alerts can be setup to notify you when an alarm event occurs on any of the camera systems that the software is monitoring.

For example, in the above video a this Viewtron 4K AI security camera is setup to detect human / person intrusion. When an intrusion event occurs, the video of the camera pops up on the screen to alert the person that is monitoring the system.

You can also setup mobile app push notifications when alarms are triggered on Viewtron security camera systems. Viewtron’s mobile app for iPhone and Android can also connect to multiple DVR / NVR locations, as well as directly to Viewtron IP cameras. Watch the above video to see a demo.

Hi, everyone. Mike, from CCTV Camera Pros here. In this video, I’m going to show you how to setup the remote monitoring software for our Viewtron security camera systems to receive an alarm from an NVR and pop up video so you can see what happened. The idea here is the Windows and Mac remote monitoring software that’s included with our Viewtron systems allows you to monitor multiple DVR and NVR locations.

Let’s say you have a view up of a certain location, but something happened at another location and you want to be notified. You can configure the system to pop up that camera on that system or multiple cameras on that system to show you what’s going on. Let’s take a look. Here’s the Viewtron remote monitoring software that I have installed on my Mac, and I have it set up to connect to two systems. The one at my home and the one here at the office. I just have these four camera views set up.

This camera right here monitoring our front door that’s where I set up an intrusion zone that’s going to set the alert. If I click on resource management and go under intrusion, you can see the intrusion area that I’ve drawn here. This is one of our AI security cameras and I have it set to detect humans when they walk through that zone. Next, if I go to the alarm center and then for the alarm type select channel intrusion detection, this is the camera that I want to set up. So I’m going to make it so that front door camera is the popup. That’ll be the camera that pops up and you have to set this to on. Press okay and then I set this schedule to 24 by seven.

I already had this configured, but if it wasn’t yet, you’d press apply right here when you’re done. Next, you go into local configuration and check off the automatic popup alarm page. Then you can set the popup between five seconds and two minutes to automatically shut down or you can set it to manually shut down. For number of screens, I’m going to select one because I’m just going to display that one camera when the alarm goes off. Then I click apply and then I’m going to go back to monitoring my home camera system.

I’m at the office now. In a minute, I’m going to walk through that intrusion zone at the front door and you’ll see the monitoring software alert me by popping up the view of that camera. So there’s the intrusion detection popup there and I have it set to 10 seconds. So after the alarm detection stops after 10 seconds, it’ll go back to the view that it was on, which is my home system.

So next I’m going to put it onto the office view and do the same thing just to show you that even if you’re monitoring the system where the camera is, it’ll still alert you with that popup window. So again, I’m going to walk out there in a second and when I go through that intrusion zone, it pops up the screen again to the single camera view and that’ll stay for 10 seconds. Then it’ll go back to the live view of the office security camera system again.

Guys, I hope this video has been helpful. I was using the Mac software for the Viewtron systems, but the Windows software is identical. They’re the same exact software for Windows and Mac. I was using an AI security camera with an intrusion zone set up here by our front door, but you could use standard video motion on our BNC cameras to set up a popup alarm just like that as well. You could set up vehicle detection, all of the alarms that are supported by our Viewtron security camera systems, you can set up that popup alert like you just saw in this video.
